kite boarding!

The summer before we got married. There were a lot of kite boarders at the beach where we go to every year. The surf was blown out and I wanted to learn how to kite board. I called CO to ask permission. My first sacrifice in marriage. "We" decided it wasn't a good idea.

Yesterday I actually went kite boarding for the 1st time. 25-30 mph winds, too much to learn in, but Dean the guy who owns the gear is just like me when it comes to the water. He asked if I wanted to try getting up on the board. The answer to the question was "YES!" I left wisdom in the boat. He said I did so good controlling the kite, tht he felt I would be ok.

So! I'm holding this 12 meter kite(area of the kite)and he puts the board on my feet and told me to drop the kite down in the "POWER" window, so I did. It was kinda like being snatched out the water by a very powerful quiet ski boat. The next thing I know is that I'm skipping across the water out of control with a huge smile on my face.

These pictures are them holding me down when I was getting use to controlling the kite. No pictures yet of me ripping the water.

After several ferocious crashes that sadistically made me laugh and cough up water, while the others cringed, I got the hang of it and was ripping through the water.

A very unique feeling and experience. I'm still processing all the information that was crammed down my throat along with several gallons of salt water.

Life is so incredible awesome if we can just get past the fear of the unknown and survive the daring attempts to push yourself beyond your comfort zone. I'm so thankful for God putting us in this situation down here because I'm as unsure about our future as I was about attaching myself to a kite the size of a living room in 25 mph winds. I'm thankful because I know at the end of this period we are in now, we will think back on it and say "YES!!!! GOD IS GOOD!"

36 WEEKS

We are almost there. CO gets bigger everyday. Yesturday the doctor said everything looked perfect. We are doing really good, except when we are hungry :)

She is doing a bible study on listening to God, which is perfect for our situation because we don't have a clue on what we should do when school is over.SO! we're learning how to patiently listen.
this is a video of me planting a bush. there is about 3" of white pea rock, then 3-6" of coral and then there is rock! I love this place. God says build your house on Rock so we go and buy one.

picture of CO and baby

This is how good CO looks these days. She had a really good week, but a bad night last night. I'm glad she can rest this weekend. She gets up about 10-15 times a night! For someone who loves sleep as much as her, she is handling the situation like a champ or like a mom! I kinda feel sorry for baby Ray though, because he'll probably never hear the end of it. He better be good.

She went to the doc yesterday and Dr. Ward said she was one of the most normal and perfect pregnant woman she has seen in a while. weight is right on the $, baby is an average small size and positioned well. EVERYTHING IS GOOD TO GO! The anticipation is building a lot and we still have 5 weeks.

I'm ready to play with the greatest interactive toy in the world.
