well, we had a great getaway to Savannah this past weekend. We met our good friends Joel and Kelly there, and despite a power outage and a minor car accident, we enjoyed our time. it can be a bit more difficult to enjoy trips being pregnant, but i must say i really did have fun. and i was thinking that when i lived in augusta, i probably went to savannah at least 5 or 6 times with friends, but this time i saw even more of the historic district than any other time. the weather was also VERY nice for august, and we all were very appreciative.
as i look ahead and face my fears of having another little one to care for, trips like this are even more special to me. we are bracing ourselves for a bit of "lockdown" as i head into my last weeks of pregnancy and then having a new little guy in the family. so thanks to the Gilberts for hanging with us and providing us with a brief escape from the day to day life thing, and some good company.
